What are you asking? How do you simulate one? How do you test its capabilities? How do you test the security?

As far as I know there are no Pix emulators or simulators. You'll more than likely have to spend some money (you can get older models for under $300 on ebay).

What sort of attack? Just do something that violates the policies that you set up on the firewall and it'll test whether it works or not.
