How to upgrade IOS both switches and routers using Console Port? I want to know this procedure just in case anything happen during my upgrade in our production.

KGhaleon Member Posts: 1,346 ■■■■□□□□□□You'll want to backup your IOS to a TFTP server first, to be safe. Not sure if there are any problems with keeping backup copies of an IOS, as far as I know.

Routers have different procedures, can you tell what routers and switches are you going to upgrade?.
Here's a link for 1600, 1700, 2600, 3600 and 3700 serie routers, 1600 and 2500 are the same procedures.
