I just wanted to say that this is the most Boring test ever! They must have made it that way so your forced to pass it on the first try!...Well I'm on chapter 7 of the Sybex book, hopefully I can finish it by next week. It also helps when you have contractors that need an escort when they run fiber...nothing else to do but read, nod out wake up read again nod out....

chapter 7 is pretty boring. If im not mistaken its the cryptography section. I decided to take a whole day dedicated to that chapter.
whats wrong with forcing you to pass on the first try anyway?**** ARE FOR CHUMPS! Don't be a chump! Validate your material with certguard.com search engine

In my opinion the Syngress books makes studying for the exam more fun.Working on: MCSA 2012 R2 -

Only by laughing at the worthless DVD that comes with it.All things are possible, only believe. -

Joking aside michael_knight, if you really can't make it through the sybex, I'd suggest reading the syngress book. The material is still dry (no getting around that unfortunately) but at least the author's writing tone is semi-conversational vs. technical manual.Working on: Linux+, CCNP:Switch

matradley Member Posts: 549I must admit, I had a lot of fun studying for this certification. There is so much to learn about in regards to security. This is just the "tip of the iceberg"!From Security+ book by Sybex:
"One of the nice things about technology is that it's always changing. One of the bad things about technology is that it's always changing." -
michael_knight Member Posts: 136I may try it out, I find that I need to read two books anyway for the info to set in for me. I wish I had one of those photographic memories! LOL when I was doing my CCNA I would go to the CCNA forum and some of those guys would be like "Hey I scored a 900 on my first try" LOL I would be pissed cause I took the test multiple times. Security+ although boring at times is still cool though. I feel like a med school student that diagnoses his friends... "Oh I see the problem here...looks like you have a worm...how do you fix it? I don't know I just diagnose!
