Ok im lost on this clocking stuff.
I'm doing some SIMMs and im noticing that there is clocking listed. What drives this number?
I've seen 5600 and 54000 ?? How would i know what number to use on the exam?
I understand why clocking is need if you connect two routers together say in a test lab someone needs to be sending the clocking as by default both routers will be waiting for someone to provide clocking....but when i have a normal link from say two offices connected together would clocking still be needed?
I'm not seeing the light!

As far as what value to use in the lab, type in "clock rate ?" and see what's available. The higher the value the higher the speed of the interface. The only easy day was yesterday! -

datchcha Member Posts: 265What governs the speed to set clock rate at? How do you know what speed to use? Todd Lammle always sets clock rate at 64000. Is 64000 the default?Arrakis
