Quick subnetting question

What are the first two subnets for IP address 195.15.64.0/28

A 195.15.64.0

B 195.15.64.8

C 195.15.64.16

D 195.15.64.32

E 195.15.64.64

I would like to check this out with someone as there's no mention in the question whether subnet 0 is being used and it doesn't 'direct' you either as it gives you the choice of subnet 0 and the 2nd subnet.

The test engines answer is C+D
My answer was A+C

Well, if the answer was C & D then I guess it didn't want you to use subnet zero. If it did then you would have been right.

To put your mind at ease a bit, I've seen in these posts more than once that the Cisco exams won't be that vague...they will indicate whether to use subnet zero or not...

The CCNA exam will make it clear what they want to know as long as you read the questions carefully.

I would have done the same if I had come across that question, plus the cisco routers come with "ip subnet zero" on by default (I think)...have to verify that though...

Hey just relax, the test will not try to trick you! Experience and study is all you need, not ESP!
