To all those that have taken the exam :

We have all heard that time management is brutually differcult on the exam.

If I remember right, I had less than two minutes left when I finished.

i think it depends on how well you know the topics you get on the day, i was lucky and did it with 20 mins to spare, after having spent 10 minutes looking for the damn question mark key! (did the test in gemany lol) if you really get to grips with the subjects youll be fine.

I did the test on friday (aug 3rd) and passed with 934.
I have very poor depth perception, hence frequently find myself out of it.

    Well congrats...

2 mins sounds the normal if not less and 20mins is unheard of.

i finished with 7 minutes left. I admit, the beginning was pretty tough and I started sweatin it. Just keep your cool, the easy questions will help you make up the time. The most imporant thing about the test is to relax and think. Don;t ven look at the clock, just focus on the task at hand.

Do they tell you how many questions do you have left throughout the exam? 'Cause if you know how many questions are left, time management might be easier.
You can if you think you can

Yep they tell you but unlike the microsoft exam you cant mark any questions for review later.

Once you hit next that is it.

The problem comes in with the Sims.

Say you have 20 questions left you may have say 15mins left. But the sims can take up to 10mins to answer to time management is probably what im worried about most on the exam.

I finished my Intro exam, but I spent 20 minutes on the first sim. I felt the multiple choice questions were not difficult or time consuming, but the one sim was.

My very first question was the sim, and I was freaking out thinking I spent 20 minutes on the first question. But if was all downhill from there. So if you get all the multiple choice first, don't let it fool you into thinking have plenty of time left. The sims can easily soak up time.

    Yeah i agree with bearfan.

The only thing i can suggest is just to know the topics on the exam really well. Thinking about the multiple choice for too long can bite you in the butt especially when you come to a sim and spend 10mins+ on it. After you get through the sim you'll be like where did all the time go.

Wow, I can't believe it takes 20 min to complete a sim at the Intro exam!! The practice sims I work on from the Cisco Intro CD do no take more than 1-2 min. icon_eek.gif

So is the Cisco CD got some good questions and many...?

    How much does it cost?

Do they do an INTRO and INCD all in one?
  • m0rpheusm0rpheus Member Posts: 26 ■□□□□□□□□□
I think the Cisco CDs are pretty good. There is a database of over 250 practice questions + sims. There are two CDs - Intro and ICND (one for each book).

I had about 30 min left when I was finished. If you know what you are doing, then the test will not take you that loing to complete.
