I just got done reading about Broadcast storms.
Could one say that a broadcast storm is similar to a Routing loop but B-Storms happen at Layer2 where loops happen at L3?
And obviously a stom can take down an entire network.

L2 needs a physical loop to create a broadcast storm, where as a routing loop can occur over a single wire and doesn't necesarily need a loop in the network to occur.
Also in a routing loop, a unicast packet can be looped , whereas in a L2 loop, you would need a broadcast frame to create the storm. There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!
