Security + Prep Guide by Krutz and Vines?
opie6373
i've got this book-Security + prep guide by Krutz and Vines wondering if anyone else has it and if they find it to be of any value.
I bought the book b/c i got some audio cds for net+ and they came with some for security + so i decided to try the sec + after net + so i bought the above book. (i believe the book came with practice exam as well).
This was several years ago and never got around to really studying. Have the book and cds and saw the objectives may be changing soon so thought might try and get this done before.
I have about 8 years in the industry, last 3 have been managing a network, 10 servers, 4 firewalls, few switches etc..about 50 clients...
with the book and audio cds and practice test anything additional that I should I get to study?

Most people here recommend the Sybex Security+ book. I recommend checking out the Syngrees book as well. Also check out the technotes on this site before you sit the exam. They help a lot.
