Booking 640-801 exam in Northern Ireland

Hi

Finding it difficult to locate a test centre here as the VUE website only stipulates mainly Mainland UK centres. Anyone know how to go about it?

TIA
I used to be undecided but now I'm not so sure.

Well if there aren't any testing centers in Ireland, then you will have to go somewhere else to take it I guess. If you can't find any centers on the website, maybe you should call them just to be sure.
There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!

    Thanks for the reply.

I just missed out when calling hence this post. Will try again tomorrow during open office hours.

In the mean time, if anyone does know of locations...

    TIA

You may want to try a forum that is local to you. Most ppl here are from the states and a couple from the UK... dont think anyone is from Northern Ireland.

Just logged into my Pearsonvue account and done a quick search and come up with this:

Northwest Centre For Learning and Development
    Unit 3A Hyde Business Park
    Pennyburn Industrial Estate
    Derry
    BT48 0LU
    United Kingdom

    Telephone: 028 7128 6201

Other than that you've got 4 in Dublin and one in Cork.

Somebody mentioned on Trika's blog a few weeks back they couldn't find exam centers in Dublin but if you search using the CompTIA website you'll find some more centers not listed. It seemed to find 5 centers in Belfast if that's any help.

    Thanks for the help chaps.

I registered with VUE and see that Pennyburn is the nearest but only one date near the end of August! All other days scored out. Is this correct or would the test centre have more slots available than that?

    TIA

seems like testing centers are far and in between where you are. I could understand why it would be booked.

Strange thing is there isn't a date even into next year which can't be right - there aren't that many people living here.

I haven't seen any date available apart from one day this month so if that is all there is, which I doubt, then I have little choice icon_cry.gif

Still, if that is the case then I will knuckle down hard and try to finish my studies by then.

Just booked exam near end of September. The dates finally became available so the Pearson database must have caught up so to speak. Pressure off a little now as not having to take in 2 weeks.
