Hi, I am currently building a sql 2000 server running on server 2003 that will replace our current database server. The new server has a interim name, and once we migrate we want the new server to have the old name (we have alot of custom software that relies on the servers name) I was wondering if this is going to be an issue like it would be to change the name of a domain controller.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands... -
