Hey there
You may already know about this, but I have just completed (and passed) a practice exam for 70-216 and wish to report the following question/answer as being incorrect. There is a typo in the first octet of answer D, which should be 192 not 162.
Cheers Pete
As a network technician you have been assigned to set up NAT translations for your host computers to use the one IP address assigned to your company. You know that this requires the host computers to not have public IP address. Which of the following are the correct private IP address ranges you can use? (Choose all that apply)
a. 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
b. 162.1.0.0 - 162.31.255.255
c. 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
d. 192.168.0.0 - 162.168.255.255
e. 224.0.0.0 - 224.255.255.255
Answer(s): a. 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
c. 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
d. 192.168.0.0 - 162.168.255.255
Your Answer(s): a. 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
c. 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
Explanation:
With network address translation (NAT), you can configure your home network or small office network to share a single connection to the Internet mapped to your network device by using private addressing on the intranet.
