Exam date delayed cuz of a Voucher

gabrielbtoledogabrielbtoledo Member Posts: 217
I was so ready to schedule my exam today for end of August.
I went to netacad to request my voucher (yeah, I got over 75% on the test), and before I could requested, my happiness went way because of the first paragraph: You can only use your voucher in the area of the course conclusion (or something like that).
Well I went to US to get a better education (did that), then went back to my native country. So, now I can't use my voucher. However I sent cisco an email and now they have 24 hours to respond.
Either way, I will still book my exam regardless of their response.

what a hassel! Hope it works out for the better. Even if you do have to pay to take it, it is so worth it.
There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!

Yeah, I know... I will pay for it if I have too, however since I earned that voucher with a lot of sweating, then I think I deserve it, regardless of the place where I am.

By the way, I have some great news. My contract working for the Pan-American Games was only till the end of September and wasn't sure what I was gonna do after that. So I receive an email from the guy of Universal Music and I should be starting a new job in the first week of September with almost double the salary. Isn't that great????

I can't complain since I came back. I thought it would be difficult to adapt after 7 long years in the US, however "thanks to god" my first job here is awesome working for Atos Origin (one of the biggest IT company) for the Pan Games (another amazing experience), and now Universal Music. I'm pretty sure after my CCNA, finish my MCSA and then CCNP more opportunities will appear.

Thanks for the words and for sharing your knowledge helping my path possible.

The one to work for Cisco TAC is still in the back burner, and as I said after the enterview, the guy told me they were looking for engineers. (So why they called me if in my resume does't say I'm an engineer?).
The other one that needs to know cisco to manage the support team, they said this week I would have a response.
Also, there is another one to work in the infrastructure side (good paid) that I will get a response this week as well.

However this one (Universal Music) is closer to my house (20 min drive), good paid and excellent chances to grow.

Not want to be cocky, but I've done about 15 interviews in the past two months. I guess my 7 years in the US plus being bilingue paid off in the end.

Here is a prime example of what an education can do for you. Good job on doing what you had to do to better yourself man.
