meyers has a reputation as an i.t. author for his all-in-one study books. the passport series is more to the point as far as exam objectives are concerned.

some people would prefer to read exam-orientated study books, whereas some would prefer his all-in-one books, which cover the topics in greater depth. some people, for instance, like to reatain their a+ all-in-one books as computer reference books.

i am using the network+ passport, but also have several other non-exam-specific networking books. it is excellent.
