Is it correct that the CCNA 640-801 has a last exam date in November? I've checked the Cisco site and it says the last exam date was in June this year.....

That was funny... in a good way.
    A+ Certified - Network+ - MCP (70-290)
    MCSA - CCNA - Security+ (soon)

    what exactly does this mean?

Does it mean there will be a new CCNA exam ? 640-802?

Yes there is a new CCNA exam available, 640-802. The new exam has dropped things like ISDN, IGRP, RIPv1 and other outdated items. It has introduced more security and other features. It would seem with the new descriptions for the CCENT/CCNA the CCENT is taking over where the current CCNA is and the new CCNA is going to pull more topics frome the CCNP (thereby making it more difficult.).

No, they will both earn you a CCNA, but after 11/6/2007 you will only be able to take the new one.
