Passed on Saturday
Passed Security+ this weekend with a 841. Test was pretty straight forward and no surprises accept a couple questions on IPSec I had no clue about. To prepare I used Sybex, Exam Cram, Measureups, and Transcenders.

CCNA is next on the list. Really hoping I can get it done before I have to take the 802 exam. I convinced my boss to use the funds budgeted for my training this year to buy a cisco lab so that should be a great help.
As far as the security+ exam I don't have any magic bullets. My strategy was to use practice exams to pinpoint areas I needed to work on and then used the books. Also any question I was clueless on I would make a flash card out of it until I had a stack of cards. Then I went over them until I knew all the answers. At least one of them turned out to be on the exam. Good luck to all who are working on this one! -

I think it really depends on the topic. If you just want a review of DAC, MAC, and RBAC EC2 works fine. For other topics like PKI and IPSec it doesn't have the depth you will need for the exam. I really didn't use it that much because I didn't really find a good way to fit it in with my study plan. The Sybex book, practice exams, and flash cards are mostly what I used. -
