while working a tkt at work i mistankenly put a loop on a t3 line instead of putting it on the cust t1 line. i get confused when i see the serial int as to what number represents what. here is an expample of an int, can someone please break it down for me.

abc# serial4/0:6

or sometimes they are like

abc# serial4/3/5:2

Is it a 72xx series router?

    I think it's like this...

    [slot/port] [:channel-group]

    or

    [slot/port/t1-line] [:channel-group]

the syntax should be slot/module/port:channel group (or timeslot)

For example the 7200 port adapters are 1/2 of a slot, then there may be multiple interfaces on a single PA.
