I actually only have ICND left, which I failed back in January and never got around to trying again. I am going to schedule it for around late October, so that in case I fail again I still can have a "third time's a charm" try. -
mobri09 Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 723I have to take the ICND part. After getting some valuable advice from a few techexam friends ...I plan to take the ICND first, if i fail I will then take the 640-801. And if I fail that I plan on taking whatever one I did better on. Remember you must wait I think 6 days before retaking...but if you take a different exam you can schedule the next day. Good luck fellas!

My first try on 6 OCT, and schedule again 3rd Nov if needed. If ... again, then get a new material and hit again before christmas. Wish me luck. What is done is done, what yet to be done will be done. While in the process of doing, enjoy it. -

Knives Out Member Posts: 91 ■■□□□□□□□□Me! I took Intro in June and after some time off from work and studying, I am now getting ready for 640-811.
I figure if I fail I will take 640-801 but not entirely sure yet. I plan to shoot for early October. -
petedude Member Posts: 1,510I've bombed both ICND and 801 a few times.
Passed the current INTRO though-- Will probably go "retake" the new INTRO soon so I can get a CCENT out of it, but I doubt I will get back on the 801 before time's up.
We'll see what happens.Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

ignign0kt Member Posts: 42 ■■□□□□□□□□Is there any reason to wait for the new exam and learn the added material :P
I mean.. If I take the 801 I might feel like I should have waited and because I'm missing out on some important material that I should have learned.
Oh well.. I scheduled my 801 for Oct 3 :P -
WingedTek Member Posts: 36 ■■□□□□□□□□I'm waiting to start studying the new material when it comes out an probably take it in December or January. Whats new on the test and should I worrie more about it than now? :
Oh and one more thing, when will the new study material be out? -
borumas Member Posts: 244 ■■■□□□□□□□I hope to pass it before the deadline, failed ICND twice now and I'm gearing up to just attempt the 801 exam as it seems from the descriptions to be a bit easier. I had been studying allot of Intro material in prep for ICND as well since they do pull some questions from that stuff for the test so I may as well attempt the full exam. After CCNA I may attempt the Cisco IOS Security Specialists and then I'd like to take the LPIC Junior Admin 101/102.

Yossarian Member Posts: 14 ■□□□□□□□□□I will be trying before the deadline as well. I just passed the 70-291 on Friday to complete the MCSA. I will probably just put the 801 off until the last minute. I have never failed a certification exam, but I also have never taken a Cisco exam.
I have been following these forums for a while now and have picked up a lot from just reading the questions and replies. I also work with a lot of Cisco gear.
Good luck to everyone!
