Four hours to go at work...

Two thirds of the way through a 12 hour shift and starting to lag now.
(7pm tp 7am)

So its now 2:45 and im thinking what to do to stay awake and keep my mind active.

Too tired to do any studying/learning etc as it wouldnt stick, anyone find themselves in the same situation? And what do you do to pass the time/stay awake whilst still accomplishing something with your time?

Sometimes converting oxygen to carbon dioxide is all I can do correctly. I guess it's producive.

Those shifts are pure torture. Driving home after one can be dangerous too, unless it is bright and sunny.

These are the times when i find its great to have a great since of humor. I use to stand 12 hour watches in th CIC of a ship. Sometimes there is really nothign to do. You don't want to study. Even the internet is boring. Its usually time to break out the jokes and odd ball stories.

Having someone you can talk with helps alot but if you don't have that luxury the days can get pretty boring. I mean how much internet surfing can one person do.
