Which Ethernet device has the highest latency factor?
Transceiver, hub, MAU, router, or a switch???

In general that would be the router because routing generally occurs in software. Swtiches typically have integrated circuits dedicated for the switching process, forwards based on frames.

The integrated circuit would be an ASIC(application specific integrated circuit)?
