Does anyone have any experience on bringing a Windows Server 2003 SP1 up to R2 on a Domain Controller?
We are currently running two domain controllers with the 32bit version of Windows Server 2003
I'm comparing version numbers of the adprep.exe with those listed here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324392/ and there's a version mismatch. (my version is 5.2.3790.0) they suggest 5.2.3790.196.
After running the adprep than you perform the R2 update from CD2 using a new CD key.
Any suggestions/comments/experience/issues in doing this would be appreciated.
Thank you

Basically, in short, make sure all your DCs are at least Windows 2000 SP1, and the system you are installing R2 on is Server 2003 SP1 at least. It sounds like you're already good to go.
You need to use the ADPrep that is located on the R2 CD. Check out the site, it should give you the info you need.“For success, attitude is equally as important as ability.” - Harry F. Banks -
