I have a 2924-XL-A but I would like to save the startup-config, the only problem is that I don't know the enable password. Is there anyway to recover the password without erasing the startup config?
I'm going to try to copy the config.text to tftp when I get home according to instructions here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps628/products_password_recovery09186a0080094184.shtml
But just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

If the switch is powered off, you can try a normal password recovery procedure, just like the one your link points to - it saves the configuration in the end, but with a new password. -
