Sharing Between WinXP Pro and WinXP Home Edition

Hi All,

This is my first post ...

I'm having problems getting Simple file sharing going on between my Laptop with WinXP Home (Using SImple File Sharing) and My PC which is running WinXP Pro (also have it set to use Simple File Sharing for now). They are both running SP2 and are connected in a cabled LAN environment through a router with ian ntergrated switch.

I've managed to get the PC running WinXP Pro to gain access to the Laptops Share but have been unsuccessfull in getting the Laptop in gaining permission to access the Share on my PC.
They are both in the same workgroup, have the guest account enabled (password protected).

All accounts have the same username and passowrds. I've read that maybe the local security policy on the WinXP Pro PC could be the problem. I've set this up for "Guest only - local users auth. as guest". I also made sure that the guest account was not being denied access to the PC in the "Deny access to this computer from the network" in the "Local Policies-->User Right Assignment".

Whenever I try to click on the PC icon in the "View workgroup computers" from the Laptop, I get the "connect to PC1" display prompting me for the password for the "PC1\Guest" account which is greyed out. The password never allows me to gain access. to the Sare on PC1.

Can anybody tell me what I'm missing? I know for fact the password is right since I've double checked by logging into the guest account with in on both computers.
