Security Administator Street Smarts book
Has anyone looked at this book? http://www.amazon.com/Security-Administrator-Street-Smarts-Security%2B/dp/0470102586/ref=sr_1_1/102-9405644-0968140?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1190112084&sr=8-1
I found it at Borders last night, but didn't have a chance to look at it. It this point I do not need anymore Security+ study materials, but I thought the premise looked interesting.

GT-Rob Member Posts: 1,090I have read the ebook while bored at work one day. It is pretty decent, not very long (I am used to 1300 page text books). It has some interesting situations that were new to me. I am sure it would be a worth while read to anyone into security, but it would not be much new for someone who has studied for Sec+.

msnelgrove Member Posts: 167I have the book, it provides some labs that are kinda "fun" to do. The book explains how to deploy group policies, create an EFS data recovery agent, configure syskey in windows, preform risk assessment ... most of it is pretty basic. Most of the labs "require" you to have a win2k3 box kickin around.
