Hi all ....
If I have a network and running NMS ( ciscoWorks) for managements purposes. If i add a new device without updating the NMS nor configure SNMP for NMS in the device?
Can cisco works tell that there is an unknown network device connected to the network ?

dtlokee Member Posts: 2,378 ■■■■□□□□□□Depends, some devices will have a default SNMP configuration even if you don't specify it. This was a big security concern so it isn't common anymore.The only easy day was yesterday!

MrD Member Posts: 441Yeah, as far as I know it must have an SNMP config on it for CiscoWorks to recognize it.
