The lpi is from
http://www.lpi.org/en/lpi/english/certification
The linux+ is from comptia
http://certification.comptia.org/security/
2 completely different exams from different venders

I had a look at
http://www.pearsonvue.com/
which is where I book my tests normally
they only seem to support the LPI exams i'm guessing level 1 exam 101 is the first one to tackle?

Linux+ would be listed under CompTIA
aueddonline
do CompTIA have there own test centers, has anyone book or taken the linux+ in the UK?
ajs1976
CompTIA exams are offered through both VUE and Prometric. I think I used VUE when I did the Linux+ back in '04 or '05.
aueddonline
i get ya it will be under CompTIA on the VUE website
flipside
LPIC exams more difficult that CompTIA Linux+ exam ...

LPIC requests two exams while Linux+ one. LPIC expires in 5 years while Linux+ permanent.
