You were pretty close so I think you just need to hit the books and rack a little more to polish it all off. Don't rush back to quick if you are not ready. Take your time and REALLY LEARN the material instead of memorizing things. If you are just memorizing it you might just memorize the wrong things..... Good luck on your next attempt.

Nerves can cost you some points on your first exam -- so that might have been the difference between passing and failing.

Missing a SIM and still getting that close to passing makes it look like you did your homework. :D

If you compare your score report against the exam blueprint (640-801 or 640-802) that should give you an idea about what you might want to study or practice before your next attempt.

The Sim practice thread has some links to other threads that could help you.

Hum.... here's a good "CCNA Simulation questions" thread that passed "NDA muster"

And here's a thread about "show commands" and a couple of suggestions for books.

And if you're weak on troubleshooting there's the "CCNA Troubleshooting Tid-bits" thread

There is a large pool of questions, so you should still be prepared for anything in the exam blueprint. "Luck of the Draw" from the question pool may result in a test that seems to ask more questions about a topic than your previous exam.

You should study anything that gave you problems in your last exam since that would indicate a "weak topic" for you -- and as long as you're taking the 640-801 exam again, the exam topics will still be the same.
