MCDST Advice

I've been contemplating on getting either my MCDST or 70-270. I'm leaning towards the MCDST because I have supported windows XP boxes for about 3 years and the MCDST looks like its an easier exam. I want to eventually get the MCSA 2003 and from reading the information on MS website the MCDST can be counted towards an elective. I also would like to take the upgrade for Vista and I should be set with client OS's. Does this sound like I'm taking the right path?

    Hi,

I think that path is sensible. I took my MCDST exams and then the Vista upgrade and then 270, 290 and plan to sit 291 in a few weeks to give me a MCSA.

If you choose that path, good luck

I agree with Dave, that sounds like a sensible plan. If you get your MCDST and upgrade to MCITP:EST you will also get MCTS:Vista configuration which counts as your client exam for MCSA/MCSE that same as 270 would.
    Working on: MCSA 2012 R2
