Passed 270, now about this 290 business......

in Server 70-290
I switched from Sybex to MS Press for this exam as I found a lot of holes in the 270 Sybex material....anyway, as for a lab, am I right in thinking that I can buy a copy of Server 2003 standard, download virtual PC , create an AD NW and run all the sims I want to in preparation for this exam??? Also, does the exam stick to the Standard version of Server 2003, or is the Enterprise version necessary for the exam?

    If you have the MS Press book it should have come with an evaluation version on 2003 Enterprise. Virtual PC is a free download from MS, if that is where you want to go.

    According to my fellow net-buddies here, nothing beats hands on and I 100% agree with them. I am sure that you must have had some equipment to test with when preparing for the 270, use that along with the Virtualization software of your choice and that will take care of most of your hardware requirements..
