in CCNA & CCENT
I thought I knew enough about the CCNA to pass--however, I just scored a 732. One of my friends has suggested to keep studying and retake in 2 weeks.
I have 3 questions..
1) Should I order another source of books? The Bryant Advantage looks really good and is offering free study materials for the new CCNA.
2) & 3) Should I wait for the CCENT? What exactly is happening to the CCNA exams? I know the 801 exam is expiring in November, but I cannot find what is going on.
Thanks for your help

examseeker Member Posts: 118I have read the Sybex book twice, the examcram book once, and the portable guide about twice. I have no problem memorizing, but the questions about solving problems do get me. The CLI part I think I have down.. I have taken the Cisco courses at a community college and have worked some on routers and switches. This test just got me!

LOkrasa Member Posts: 343 ■■■□□□□□□□Sybex 5th edition for the 801 and 6th edition for the 802. Read that about twice, read the CCNA INTRO and ICND about twice and you will be well prepared. Try to get your hands on at least one 2501 and just play with it. Log into and just run some of these commands yourself. I think that was the best part of my studying...

You can't tell what type of questions you got on the exam its against the NDA (non disclosure agreement) you accepted when you took the exam!An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

Good luck with the next attempt!I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

CCNA Certification
CCENT Certification -- which you get by taking the first exam of the 2 exam CCNA option.
You can also check out the Cisco CCNA Prep Center for more information.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

examseeker,
When you mention "I have tkaen the Cisco courses at a community college..." was the community college a Cisco Networking Academy? -
examseeker Member Posts: 118Yes.. it was a Cisco Academy. I took the last of the CCNA line, however.
I really wanted to do the CCNP portion of the Academy.. but, the program has been canceled. -
