Does updating CCNP automatically update CCNA????
Distractions all along the way.....perhaps will end up breaking everything

    You can recertify your CCNA by passing any 642 level professional or specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist).

    If it expires, then its too late and the only thing you can do is "start over."
