Honoring Intro

Hi all,
I have searched a bit but cant seem to find a definitive answer on this. I know its late but I plan on taking the Intro next week. Will Cisco honor that and let me take the ICND after the 6th?

    No, the exams are retired no matter when you took the INTRO (except net acad students). You will have to take the ICND2 after the 6th.

    Will the INTRO be considered the ICND1 in this case or will the INTRO be just wiped from the record?

    Yes you can take the INTRO with the ICND2 from my understanding.

    Yes there's a "mix-and-match" option so if i don't pass the icnd by nov 6th like i plan to i can take the icnd2 in place of it.

    I am quite glad to find this out. I don't want to say my studying thus far would be in vein because there is no doubt I have learned quite a bit. However I spent a good sum of cash on all the books and its not too fun to have to buy even more. Also wanted to throw out thanks to this website. I don't think I have ever posted but I am on here nearly everyday practicing tests and checking out the tips for these exams. It really is a great site and community, thanks!

    Ok one more question... Since Cisco is honoring the INTRO portion and allowing you to take the ICNDv2 test will they also be providing the new certification?

    Do you mean the CCENT? INTRO does not count towards the CCENT. To earn the CCENT you would need to take the ICND1 exam.
