I've passed 640-801 today, first attempt. I studied for a couple of months and practised only on sims found here and there on the web. The score was only 860 but it's a pass anyway, isn'it?
I didn't really confident going for the exam but I was pressed but the impending expiration so I gave it a go.
I definitely I cocked up the only sim I had in my exam but I didn't do too bad on the rest obviously.
What I want to say is that yes, you need to study and know your stuff, but I think I had a bit of luck with rest which covered the topics I knew better.
Make every question counts because it can be the one that gets you through, even if you know the answer think through each one and don't get demoralized if the first few aren't going your way.
Good luck then to everyone who's giving this exam between here and November.
It can be done.

Change your post and don;t include anything about test question specifics. Wouldn't that suck is Cisco tracked you down and denied you of your cert or any future cisco cert. There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!

I've changed my post even though I've just named topics which are in any preparation book table of contents, everyone knows these might be on the exam. Was it that revealing?
Besides every exam is different and I can't see how that would help someone pass it.
But rules are rules.
Anyway I'm in a good mood.... -

I did work hard and made the most of all material I could find, I said luck helps but that alone doesn't get you anywhere, of course. -

There's a big difference between someone learning all the "topics which are in any preparation book table of contents" and someone only learning the couple of things they know they will be tested on.
Cisco Career Certifications and Confidentiality Agreement
The main guts of the Cisco NDA is "contents of the exam are confidential."You agree that the contents of the exam are confidential and that the disclosure of that information could compromise the integrity of the Program and of Certifications. Cisco makes exams available to you solely to test your knowledge of the exam subject matter for which you seek Certification. You are expressly prohibited from disclosing, publishing, reproducing, or transmitting any exam and any related information including, without limitation, questions, answers, worksheets, computations, drawings, diagrams, length or number of exam segments or questions, or any communication, including oral communication regarding or related to the exam (known collectively as “Proprietary Information”), in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, oral or written, electronic or mechanical, for any purpose, without the prior express written permission of Cisco.
You can also read the Cisco Candidate Conduct PolicyNo candidate will take any action that will compromise the integrity or confidentiality of a Cisco Certification examination or otherwise compromise the integrity of the Cisco Certification program. Such actions include but are not limited to: • Disseminating actual exam content via web postings, discussion groups, chat rooms, study guides, etc.

Isn't every exam different with different questions? -

But there is a pool of questions. Old questions have probably been retired and new questions are being created, but not fast enough for everyone to get their own personalized exam.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set!
