Which to choose from?

XP or win2000?
MCSE 2000 or 2003?

which? please point me in the right direction before I go and purchase some ms pressbooks

well after a a lot thinking, and told by a friend which he thinks is best, I am going to do the 2000 route. My friend says there'll be no need for the 2003 yet, maybe in 2 yrs or so.

I would tend to agree with your friend. Many companies spent a lot of dollars upgrading to the 2000 platform... most network administrators would be hard pressed to find a good enough reason to warrant the costs of upgrading to the 2003 platform (IMHO).
