Many features it appear need CEF to funtion...I believe NBAr does as well as some other QOS functionality (I think CAR needs it). I am wonderinf if during the lab if anyone has an opinion if turning ip cef on on all routers is a good/bad idea? My thought is to just turn it on on all routers, but wondring if there are drawbacks to this for the lab.

CEF should already be on in 12.4 (the R+S lab) but if for some reason it's not then enable it if you need it. Can't think of too many cases when you would want to turn it off.

ip cef is very usefull like in load share cases and i think it is enabled by default in 12.4
