I need some clarification please
chelch
I am having trouble memorizing what these files are and what they do...
io.sys
msdos.sys
autoexec.bat
command.com
config.sys
win.ini
system.ini
ect ect ect....
The a+ objectives state you need to know location, purposes and contents of these files. I am using the Mike Meyers 5th ed book and it is really confusing. It seems like all these files mean completely different things for different os's. Can someone clear these up for me or give me advice on how I should study these files?? Thanks

Have you looked up the glossary at the back of Mikes book?

OK
How about you explaining how you see them and we will put you straight where your are off track. My tutors always favoured doing things that way as it helped us research things better.
