Dear Friends
I wish u r all fine ....... I am very confused about Ring & Mesh topology and wish u could help me
As we know that FDDI & Token Ring used ring topology where all pcs connected in logical ring ...my question is how can this done physical ??? Does i provide each pc with 2 network cards to be connected to each adjacent pcs to form the ring ????
Another Question about mesh topology ..... Also does we provide each pc with a NICs equal to the devices in its LAN in order to perform mesh topolgy ??? Is it practical to use it ????
Please explain .. I am too confusing
Thanks in advance

Plazma Member Posts: 503To create a full mesh, you are right , you must have 1 NIC per device. Think of it like a spiderweb, because that is exactly what it is in essence.
Token Ring/FDDI uses special NIC's for their purpose.
