2000 MCSE track or 2003 MCSE track?

I'm an NT 4 MCSE and just passed the 70-270 exam Friday. The company I'm at now is closing it's doors in a year to year and a half (poor me) and uses strictly 2000 servers. My question is, which track do you think I should pursue?

Options:

Do the 2000 track. Then do upgrade tests to 2003 and have both.

Do the 2003 track and skip 2000.

Do nothing and go jump into traffic

I think the first option is the best option. For the obvious reasons, but also that the first job available for MCSE2003 would be typically an upgrade from 2000 to 2003, or at least involvement in the migration, or working in a mixed 2000-2003 environment. Such jobs will surely go to those that have been MCSE 2000 for a while and got there MCSE 2003, probably not to those that have 'just' MCSE 2003.

That was a good idea (from Webmaster). Will the MCSE 2000 retire?

I am doing the 2003 track because I am going to school to take mine since it's part of an Associate's Degree program. I won't be done for over a year so by then should be alot more people wanting the 2003 one.

No, it will not retire. You will be MCSE on Windows 2000, even if they retire the exams.
