NinjaBoy Member Posts: 968I've taken the beta version 71-649 and I have to say that it is alot harder than what I was expecting, especially since there are not alot of study material out there yet. Alot more CLI commands, but then again it was a beta (do not take it as the final live exam).

skubasteve Member Posts: 21 ■□□□□□□□□□If they ever release the results of the beta test, I may be taking it. I was prettty confident when I took the beta exam, but you never know with Microsoft tests. If it turns out I failed the beta test, I'll be taking it within days of whenever they decide to release the results."The search for static security - in the law and elsewhere - is misguided. The fact is security can only be achieved through constant change, adapting old ideas that have outlived their usefulness to current facts.”

G/L If you do go retake make sure to use either the 40% off or the second shot voucher. -
jeff20147 Member Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□I took it on Monday and passed with a 850!!!!
Used transcender but boy was it off by a long shot maybe less than 15 were from the transceder, but the transcender was a great study guide as far as the explainations and concepts!
It seems to score as 3 different tests, I got 900 in AD, 850 in Network Infrastructure (damn those ipv6 questions!!!), and 880 in Applications and TS. I though it was pretty tricky considering a lot is CLI and I never use any of these CLI's in my work and nor do I mess with IIS too much.
Just so happy that I passed and don't have to do it again!! -
mlaven Member Posts: 19 ■□□□□□□□□□Yes I got it!!
Now I hope I passed the server admin and enterprise admin exams last week! They where beta exams so I have to wait a couple of weeks!
But I'm glad I passed the 70-649 exam!! -

royal Member Posts: 3,352 ■■■■□□□□□□Been way too busy and just did my MCITP for Exchange 2007. I'll eventually do the 649, but probably not for a while. Going to focus my efforts in diving deeper into learning Active Directory, Group Policy, and just picked up some powershell books. Going to focus diving really deep into the very technical detail about the topics I just mentioned instead of exams for a while. I don't think I'll probably be doing another exam till probably late 2008.“For success, attitude is equally as important as ability.” - Harry F. Banks

bowulf Member Posts: 19 ■□□□□□□□□□I used the Introduction to Windows 2008, reviewer's guide on installing the product, and the Technet virtual labs. The exam is not a killer if you work with the technology even for a limited basis (or understand what the new concepts or products are. This is assuming the tester already has good Win2k3 knowledge.Kent A.
