If i fail a ccna test, how long do I have to wait before retaking it?

From the Cisco Exam Policy page

Candidates who fail an exam must wait a period of five (5) calendar days, beginning the day after the failed attempt, before they may retest for the same exam.

If you don't get good news on the 640-811 Friday, you can still try the 640-801.

Thats true, I gues the only limiting factor is my wallet.

When I took the 640-821 back in february, On my exam score sheet it has a note that I cannot take a same number cisco exam without waiting 180 days first. Did I misread something?

That's for when you pass the exam.

Once passed, a candidate must wait a minimum of 180 days before taking the same exam with an identical exam number.
