Anyone do any think other than IT?

just wondering what of the usual users round here i see posting do other than IT?....Are there any car mechanics, electricians or even plumbers!

just wanted a heads up on anyother "hands on" skill sets people have. Things that people may like to do to take there mind away from IT a little

Ive always fancied learning more about my car or maybe some kind of labouring skill.

Anyone else have any input or is this going to be one of those useless threads!

Forgot, I also like to run.

I live next to a beach(which really isn't that good), and find myself walking or jogging 20-25 miles on nights when I have lots of free time. My feet sure hurt when I get back.

That is a sweet little gun. I never could convince myself to buy one though, since I have a Para Ordnance P-12 that fills the same niche. Maybe some day though.

Hey, another Iaido guy! I studied a Kashima Shinto-ryu style for five years. I made a fool of myself on my Nidan exam doing a kata called Oi Kaze. My Iaido career went downhill after that. I'd really like to start Iaido up again one day.

Since I have become a home owner, it is amazing what I taught myself to do. Crown molding, tile work, deck install. I also do the maintenance on my vehicle ie oil, brakes and wheel bearings.

I used to be very active in a variety of styles of Martials Arts/Sciences. I didn't become interested in computers until I was bed-ridden for 6 years. I came out of that into Database/GIS related work and am now transitioning to InfoSec.

I am very active at my Church as a Roman Catholic and spend a lot of my free time involved in various projects, ministries, and mens groups there. I also enjoy reading (history, personal growth, spritual, and computer related primarily) and exercising a lot (getting myself back in shape after being sick for so long).

As you could probably guess from all that I am in fact still single (and don't get nearly as much sleep as I should).

Wan't to start golf again after not playing for last 5 years or so. Will go to my local range for a few weeks first, see if i get the golf bug back. If not, i need another active sport to play, any suggestions?

Love all things cg and photography, spend a lot of my time making bad pieces of work in photoshop/flash(sometimes swish)/fireworks. Would like to invest in some 3d application and a decent graphic tablet, but as its not my profession I can't bring myself to do it
