Hi all,
I have picked up a 2503 off ebay during the week. Its in good condition but when I pluged console in and powered up I get a error message and would like to know how to fix the thing.
I have tried cisco and all of the books for CCNA. Heres the fault:
Cisco 2503
Aystem Bootstrap, Version 11.0 (10c) , Software
Copyright (c) 1986-1996 by Cisco Systems
Bad Memory-wrote zero, read 0x02000000 at location 0x00000014
also at location 0x00000010
I am thinking it could be either a flash memory or DRAM board not inserted right or a big bootstrap problem
Thanks
Andrew

User Receives a "Bad memory - wrote zero, read 0x00040000 at location 0x00000010" Error Message due to a Poorly Seated or Faulty DRAM
www.ciscotaccc.com/core/showcase?case=K19410284Open the chassis and reseat all DRAM SIMMs. If the problem recurs, the memory is faulty and needs to be replaced.
