Flunked ICND 811 with 847

Thought I hd things under control during the test....The sim question came around the 15th-16th on the test. Racked my brains for 5 minutes, figured wasnt getting anywhere, just SKIPPED it...

The questions in the beginning and in the end were easy and answered them straight away :)
I thought where I missed out on questions that involved probably Intro questions more than ICND questions, such as switches and routers stripping MAC and IP addresses, and a couple of cabling questions... icon_rolleyes.gif

I was still confident that I would atleast make the passing grade...but the "regret" at the end made my heart sink, and the score was a terrible 847...... icon_sad.gif

Retaking on the last day i.e. 6th November (took this failed one on the 31st)....AM GOING TO NAIL IT THIS TIME !!!!!!!!! :D

ANY ADVICE, GUYS.....[/list]

    Just don't give up. I had to take the exam three times to pass. I also made an 847 - two points shy of passing. If you keep hammering at it, it's going to give. Not if, but when.

    Best wishes.

    You didn't mention what your score breakdown was.... so he's some hints for the different sections of the 640-801 blueprint. They should still match up with the 811 topics.

    If the troubleshooting topics got you, check out the so close but so far away thread for some troubleshooting links.

    If Implementation & Operation got you, check out this thread and the thread I linked to in there.

    Those two topics are the 2 big "hands-on" topics -- usually you need more lab work if those are your lowest scoring areas.

    The other 2 topics are more "book learnin'" but something like those "Reference Sheets" you can get from Cisco Press now (PDF files) might be enough of a focused review to get you by.

    Get back to the books or hardware lab/sim and Good Luck! icon_cool.gif

    Design = 100%
    Implementation and Operation = 90%
    Technology = 71%
    Troubleshooting = 53%

    Didnt expect such a low score on the troubleshooting front, but let's see how I go on the 6th.
    I feel my Routing protocols, FR, ACL's,VLANs (VTP) and NAT are strong enough, should be able to make it this time. I am concentrating on the topics I missed out on the last time. TWO days to go, I am taking a few practice exams each day and am feeling GOOODDD :)

    ANY FURTHER ADVICE, THANKS GUYS...DONT WANT THAT DREADED icon_eek.gif REGRET icon_eek.gif WORD AGAIN ..
