in CCNA & CCENT
hi i was wondering if somebody could explain the following:
the following routes are to be advertised using igrp
10.1.1.1
224.1.2.3
10.1.2.1
199.1.1.1
and the answer apparently is
net 10.0.0.0
net 199.1.1.0
now i understand why the two networks have been advertised what i dont understand
is why the 224.1.2.3
is missed out

dtlokee Member Posts: 2,378 ■■■■□□□□□□224.0.0.0 is a multicast address, can't be advertised via IGRP.The only easy day was yesterday!

networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 Mod224.x.x.x is a multicast adress. You wouldn't have this on one of your interfaces and would not need to advertise this address.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
