Good news is you still can choose 1-exam or 2-exam track. The 2-exam track now provides a new entry-level certification (CCENT) just for passing the 1st test. Though I'm sure CCNA will not be any easier to achieve overall, this new approach might make the 2-exam route more attractive to more people.
