Sitting 70-294- UPDATE : MCSE !!!!!! YEA !

doom969doom969 Member Posts: 304
I'm gonna be sitting 294 this afternoon. Even though I did 289 only last week I have been skimming trough the ms press and exam cram books. (A bit more than skimming, I spent about 25 hours since last week). None of it is new to me, I have very good experience with AD, for many years.
I usually prepare much better than this for a test, but this is not very interesting to study for me because its old stuff. So I reviewed the parts i'm less familiar with and with the second shot promo.... I figure if I fail i'll hit the books heavily.

wish me luck !

I just did this this morning. If you get this before your test, brush up on a lot of software deployment, group policy, and the sysvol folder. Good luck.

Thanks, i passed with 842. I wish I had your advice before the exam, I was hit a lot on soft deployment. I reckon I lost a lot of points on this...
Oh well, doesnt matter because :
I AM FINALLY MCSE WOOT !

I started my studies a year ago (by a few weeks), and I feel really good and proud.

    Thanks to everyone.
I'll have a few beers tonight.
Than is onward to 70-299 for the MCSE-security, and then on to CCNA.

Haha. That sucked, didn't it? Glad you made it though, and congrats on the full blown MCSE. You're going the same route I am, but I'm a few months behind. Keep it up!

about a year, with some months being very intense, and others being hmmm intense. icon_confused.gif

Jokes aside, I took a 3 months break when my son was born so i'd say about 9 months.
I must say that I have a lot of experience with ws2003 AD, DNS, etc... both in the field and in consulting. I have been working in IT for about 9 years and its always bothered me not to have the certs. (So I guess you could say I have been working on mcse 9 years icon_eek.gif ) Not to mention the jobs I couldnt get. Right now I have an awessome job, and I dont plan on changing, but you never know...
