Oh yea...
60 questions.
The calculator can NOT be turned into a scientific one.
I'm not really sad about failing, just kinda disappointed that I would allow myself to go in and take it with out being fully prepared.
I'm not sweating the money. My Gi-bill covers all certification test regardless of pass/fail. But i do need to pass it this next time, or else i gotta wait 14 days.
Lots of DNS.. some cert sec, some dhcp.. a bit of subnetting. (not too much.
But i think it is very helpful to know exactly when to turn set up a primary master, secondary, active directory integrated.. Which can sometimes be confusing.
Usually what i notice, when they tell you that you have DC's, then it is generally a safe bet to go AD int, If they say they dont want people to be able to make changes to dns, it is a safe bet you go secondary.
My observations

You're not the first to fall victim to the beast - for me it was 217 that tripped me up. I learned when NOT to take a test for me
Now you know what to expect so go better prepare yourself to kick it's butt next time

Well, think you realize the root of your problem. You're just like almost every one else,
Perhaps, i just went too fast with this one. (need more practice).
impatience can make us a very poor friend even to ourselves.
You seem to really enjoy this field, so I'm sure that you are more determined than ever to pass next time.
Best of luck!!

A friend of mine used to say that if a person flunks an exam and then passes it on the second try, it is a solid proof that it wasn't a fluke!
And we all learn from our mistakes. Life wouldn't have evolved if we didn't make mistakes! The only problem here is that MS score reports no longer show where you faired poorly in. It's kinda just keepin u in the dark.
