I havent done any of the CompTIA exams before..mainly Microsoft ones so I am not sure how they compare.
Anyone that has passed suggest a good up-to-date book? Is there an offical study guide or just 2nd party texts?

Tcats pdf - Sybex Security+ and the CBT Nuggets seem to be very much worthwhile. Also the MS Press Sec+ book, although only covering about 60% of the exam does in fact cover those topics that seem to have questions weighted towards.
