can i manage ccvp by self studying.

People have hacked together some stuff from Dynamips -- but the more useful it is, the more likely it violates someone software licenses.

Check out the 7200emu.hacki.at - Dynamips, Dynagen and all that stuff forum. I think I might have posted a direct link to one of the HOWTOs in a previous CCVP Forum thread. Someone has CME working with softphones within a Dynamips/Dynagen environment.

I did the CCVP self-study, but I had most of the hardware and used a couple rack rental sessions for the things I don't have.

Some people luck out and get sent to the official Cisco Training classes by their companies and have the hardware to practice on at work.

I am lucky in that matter got a trainng sponsered from my company, but i had to push them to get it..but all worth it, its so much better than self studying.
