Is there anyplace that might have some practice labs one can do on one's home setup? I didn't see anything here, and I'd like some new things to try. I don't have a ton of stuff; just two 2600 routers, two 2950 switches, and one 2924 switch - along with two computers. Thanks.

miller811 Member Posts: 897I just made my own for the CCNA exam. I had three routers with multiple interfaces, and I would configure then run RIP, V1 and V2, IGRP, OSFP, EIGRP etc.. I would then shut down interfaces and run debug on the different routers to watch them broadcast or multicast or exchange routes etc....
What specifically are you hoping to view or configure?I don't claim to be an expert, but I sure would like to become one someday.

The funny thing is that if you do find practice labs online, they most likely won't match the hardware you have...In most cases, like miller said, it's probably best to design your own labs based on what you have, while trying to simulate some of the situations you will read about...
Which course are you practicing for? I see you have CCNA already...CCNA (Expired...), MCSE, CWNA, BSc Computer Science

Once you've learned how to do the tasks from the exam blueprint, there isn't much to be gained doing the same labs over with different IP Address. It may be worth practicing again the things that gave you trouble in the CCNA.
For some real new practice and excitement, grab the Doyle book, Routing TCP/IP Vol 1, and Dynamips (with Dynagen) -- pick a chapter and see what they didn't teach you in the CCNA.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -
