networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 ModDid you put any new modules in it? I have seen an error like that when putting new modules in a 2600. If so try to remove them and then power it back up.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

aueddonline Member Posts: 611 ■■□□□□□□□□ok i've done that and it's loading up now, does that mean i'll have to put the 8 serial interface into another router and how come it's only decided to have a problem with it today? What's another word for Thesaurus?

networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 ModMake sure the module is supported by your current model/IOS. It might be a bad module as well. If it is supported you can try it in another router to be sure.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

dtlokee Member Posts: 2,378 ■■■■□□□□□□I would reinstall the IOS from a tftp server then see what happens, the error seems to be a hardware error (system board) also make sure there's nothing floating around inside the chassis, I have see those copper clips fall off the NM slot covers and NM's themselves and short things out and cause all kinds of errors. I have seen similar problems before (router just stops working for no apparent reason) and the bad news is the routers/switches were usually found to be counterfeit. The only easy day was yesterday!
